HIP Registration & Details
Dear Parents, (para español haga click aquí)
Welcome to HIP, a pilot virtual neighborhood we are launching this summer, June 8th. Kids can start anytime and create at their own pace. HIP is a collaboration between several art teachers and me, a metal artist of 21 years. You may have spotted my jingle truck making its way to our Healdsburg Farmer’s Market. HIP is designed to keep kids engaged creatively during the Covid-19 pandemic.
This fall we will be broadcasting HIP live twice a week with a structured program of art, music, movement, and community collaboration. We are excited to play this summer, explore our creative potential, and have fun while making and imagining. Kids receive points for completing the activities provided in the kit and online at www.heartizens.org/HIP. Points are submitted to our HIP hotline texted to (707)536-5455. You can also submit to [email protected] or drop off artwork at the HIP Headquarters at 444 Moore Lane, located behind Healdsburg City Hall. Points count towards earning Amy’s Wicked Slushes.
We need your support to encourage, engage, and inspire your child’s participation. The Salt Dough needs adult supervision, but for the other activities, kids can create independently as they explore their imagination. Activities 1-4 set the stage. The remaining activities are not listed in any particular order. Kids navigate as they please through HIP!
Thank you for keeping your child safe and inspired! We are for any of your questions, ideas or concerns so please holler out for anything. We are stronger together!
